Acrylic painting on chunky canvas in impasto technique. The complex fields of this painting complement each with a coordinated colour palette, however the use of texture creates a more intricate design creating natural shadows and highlights across the painting. There are also contrasting colours with the bright poppies and the earthier leaves that help bring out both the bright and deeper greens. The trees provide a form and clear structure to the painting and also the colours; with the use of rich greens and also iridescent accents which make create additional highlights and a beautiful antique gold finish.
