SUMMER AMONG THE TUSCAN HILLS is a shot from the series "Tuscany shades" from my collection TUSCANY: LAND OF SOUL.

This photo was in the Val d’Orcia region, a wide countryside in southern Tuscany, the region where I live.

Its green hills are characterized by a dense vegetation, dotted with vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, beech and chestnut groves, a backdrop of marvelous castles, medieval villages and rural houses.

Since 2004 the Val d'Orcia is in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In this shot, the sinuous hills of Val d'Orcia are illuminated by the soft early light of a summer's daybreak.
