I made this linocut to celebrate the Mexican festival 'Dia de los Muertos' (The Day of the Dead). I call it a self-portrait as within the sugar skull are several features that represent myself, things I like and my personality. Perhaps you can spot them?! But here is a little help; there is a sun, a flower, a matchstick figure, a swallow, a shamrock for the nose, a fish, paisley drops, between the teeth the tongue sticks out and below the teeth is a small segment of the Polynesian tattoo sleeve on my left arm. This was a fun work to make and very unique in content.
This is a limited edition linocut, printed on 315gsm Heritage paper.
Your print will come wrapped in protective tissue paper to reach you in the best condition.
If you have any questions relating to the work before purchase please don't hesitate to ask me.
