This painting is proposed for the Artfinder / Liquitex "Muted Collection" because of its soft muted tones creating a subtle, sensitive composition.

According to my Slow Art concept* muted colors are essential in my painting. Colors that are less harsh and more calming.

In between multi layers of paint a slightly visible shape of a woman' s body appears melted together with the background. Like in most of my paintings, the subject is not the main focus of my art, it is more the feeling, that it awakes looking at it. With the use of subtle tones you can feel the soft and fragile woman's body.

* I believe in the Slow Movement, like Slow food and Slow living as a lifestyle.

In a world where we hardly find time to rest, I try to offer what many people long for: visual places where time seems to run slower with colors that are less harsh and more calming. Muted colors together with white tones give this feeling of slowing down.
