Original artwork description:
This painting will light up any room with its copper tones. Spare pegs that are used at the back of a canvas in the corners to stretch the canvas were placed into large blobs of wet paint, which acted like a glue. The whole surface, after several iterations, was painted in copper paint. The pieces of wood and highly textured surface produce a surface which though a single colour looks complex and beautiful.
It would suit a range of settings, from an old house to a modern apartment. It is ready to hang.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint brushed over canvas. Large blobs of paint added and pieces of flat wood placed in the paint, which acted as a glue. After several iterations I decided to paint the whole surface with copper paint.
