This watercolour and acrylic study for the oil painting 'For Rivers...' was made as a finished work in itself, and sought to tackle some of the compositional and tonal problems that might arise in the full sized version. Similar in feel to its big brother, it also has a softness in the watercolour surface. Painted on arches watercolour paper, it has a clean white border and is ready to be framed.
