Original artwork description:

A study after Géricault's painting of a "Man capturing a wild horse" in Rouen, drawn from reproduction. I often draw from reproductions of paintings in the evening when the light is not good enough for painting. One always learns something about how other artists worked. The panting is painted in a solid an block-like way, but there is always an energy in Géricault's drawing.

Materials used:

Pencil on Canson Cartridge paper
