A bright Scottish mountain landscape scene with a small sharp pointed peak, Cnoc dearg, gaelic for red hill surrounded by glowing red autumnal coloured moorland. In autumn the moors and hillsides of the northern highlands of Scotland often turn an orange red colour when the bracken dies back on the hill.
Painted in muted reds, oranges and ochre browns with a blue sky.
Painted in a contemporary impressionist gestural style with a palette knife.

Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
