Original artwork description:

This is my only political painting. It tries to depict the lack of understanding between western and Islamic traditions. Words in English are written oddly so they are more difficult to spot. The corresponding Arabic words are shown nearby. Dates of 2015 and 1437 (the same year in the Islamic calendar) are given in English and Arabic. Finally the whole painting depicts Africa and the Middle East on an angle to represent the fact that nothing can be taken for granted, not even the stability of a whole continent.

The construction is canvas stretched over a wooden frame which is not visible. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint brushed over canvas
