Original artwork description:

This artwork is part of an ongoing series of drawings I have been working on over several years. The drawings are all inspired by structures from nature that have been magnified to a much larger scale. Sometimes they are created from structures I see on my daily walks along the coast. Other drawings can be from images that are then developed further by my imagination. These drawings often develop into abstract paintings, as well as paper, ceramic and wire sculptures. These works are very organic, often created on handmade paper or thick watercolour paper. I also love to use tea as a wash with ink.

This drawing has been worked on beautiful Khadi paper and then attached to handmade paper so that the torn edges of the Khadi paper remain visible. It is presented in an off white Hayseed mount and backboard, wrapped in cellophane. It has been left unattached to the mount so that if preferred it can be diplayed without. It is left unframed for frame of choice.

Materials used:

Khadi paper, handmade paper, ink
