'Stronger Than You Think' is a testament to the inner strength we often overlook. This piece features a white heart, delicately adorned with gold crack lines, surrounded by vibrant butterfly wings - a symbol of transformation and resilience.

The Story:
'Stronger Than You Think' was inspired by a section of a much larger painting 'Don't Give Up', and I wanted to let the butterfly heart element shine on its own. I was inspired by the Kintsugi technique which is a Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery with gold, the white textured heart pieced back together with gold symbolises embracing life's imperfections and once you've repaired the broken pieces you are stronger. The heart surrounded in butterfly wings, which is a common feature in my work as butterflies remind me of loved ones passed.

Oil paint, acrylic paint and gold paint.
