This vibrant 190cm x 100cm Aboriginal boy was created with sienna, orange, white, prussian blue, midnight, Australian lime green, umber, red and black acrylics...
The main focus of this collection is my "Abstract Realism" Heads series. This series features varied subject matter including nudes, semi nudes, Geishas, Native Americans, Aboriginals, sporting legends and lots of pop icons such as Marilyn, Hendrix, Lennon, Williams, Prince, Bowie to name a few. These pieces are always created by hand and brush with acrylics (no spray or screen-printing). They feature 100% textured bases (in some cases 2 and 3cm tall textured parts) and hand created stippling over texture.
Cousins, these Abstract Realism pieces are my animals, which are mostly off the same highly textures bases and things like Chanel Bottles, Chairs, Moto GP riders, V8s and flora. They are also highly commissionable and I do a lot of pieces of loved ones, pets and peoples own favourite entertainers or subject matters.
This is a developing range, so you can expect to see lots of different subject matter coming but all based on the same principles of texture, depth and abstract styled bases.
These spunky pieces arrive stretched on a quality 40mm frame wrapped in linen, with a triple gloss coat and gallery finished edges. I take my depth of canvas to a different level believing a canvas has 5 sides and should be painted and finished as such. Did I mention I love commissions? So, if you would like a similar piece to this one, different sizes, colours formats etc, just hit me up! I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
I have been a full-time artist for 10 years now and feel blessed that I can do this wonderful thing for a job. In that time, I have now sold over 5000 pieces globally, with pieces in collections in some 30 countries... and of course most of them have been at the larger end of the scale.
My spunky wife Wendy is CFO and runs a lot of the “day to days” including logistics, leaving me to answer enquiries and do that other important part..... painting!
Finishing:
Most of my paintings arrive ready to hang. I do recommend that the really really big ones, some of the heavier pieces and some of the specialist pieces, such as pallets be installed by a professional hanger. This is cheaper than you may think and would be in the $150 to $250 range. I have partners in most areas that I can recommend if you need help. If you would like more information, just ask away. Wendy & I want to make it as easy as possible for you.
Freight and delivery:
Global shipping is included in the listed prices however, if you happened to be in an extremely remote area, we may put our hand up and ask for a little bit of monetary assistance. We package the paintings securely in twin walled, reinforced, CUSTOM MADE “Franko” cartons, with additional protective inserts & of course the painting is wrapped in bubble wrap for rub protection. Wendy & I are the consummate professionals in all that we do. Our trusted freight partners are TNT, Fastway and DHL. Often with larger pieces and local deliveries, we arrange direct delivery with our own driver.
Insurance:
All paintings are sent fully insured.
Finally, all works come with a Certificate of Authenticity and free hugs and kisses!
Happy Trails!
