Original artwork description:

Strip and Spot was inspired by some inner intuitions and images. I simply allowed the vision to emerge and transferred it onto the canvas. To me it represents the bottom of a deep water where a precious jewel (the orange spot) lies. On the other hand - if seen as a top view - the painting shows a river from above and the jewel in the dark area to the left. The river divides the whole in two areas. It flows vertically, which denotes its abstract meaning.

The oil paint allowed to achieve the nice mild, velvet black and other more vibrant red and blue colors. In fact this is an over-paint, painted on top of another image whose relief could be traced beneath the paint surface.

The abstract approach allowed me to be totally free and less concrete, i.e. minimum illustrative about the subject matter and that's what I want - as little concreteness as possible.
