This painting is an abstract work based on a scene from the 1951 movie "A Streetcar Named Desire". The movie was based on the play written by Tennessee Williams. It is universally accepted as his most popular work. It won four academy awards.
This scene shows Marlon Brando, drinking a beer with his traditional swagger.
I kept to a limited pallet of red, brown and a sort of metallic gold. Unusual, but I liked the combination.

STREETCAR is a one-of-a-kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original and no authorized copies will ever be made. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on ½ inch thick foamboard with a two inch border all around. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
