The ancient Flemish city of Bruges is like a city from a fairy tale. It breathes history and an incredible atmosphere all over. At least, that's what all the travel guides and travel shows say.
But when I arrived in Bruges, it started raining heavily. The streets were deserted, gray and my mood was very bad, I decided to take shelter from the rain in an old church. Half an hour later, I went out and the city completely changed. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the wet paving stones sparkled in the rays of the sun. The crowd began to flood the street, music was playing. I saw a completely different city, and it really was fabulous.

I wanted to convey this feeling of joy and how magically the streets sparkled after the rain, the feeling of clean air, freshness, and the beauty of architecture. This painting is a happy memory.
