Bold abstract done with acrylic on a gallery wrapped canvas. Whenever I go into my studio, I feel like a stranger in a strange land. I never know what will develop and appear. It's all familiar and strange at the same time.
It is signed on the front and back along with the title and date created.
I name my pieces by what occurred while painting the piece. What moved me, what struggles had to be overcome, my mood, my train of thought, what the piece reminded me of, sometimes a song that was on and the beat moved me or the lyrics influenced me in some way. Some pieces are named clearly with a bit of humor. I never intentionally start out a painting saying “I’m going to do this, or I’m going to do that”. All of my pieces morph into something that is totally surprising and unexpected.
