Flow is inspired by an aerial shot near Point Defiance just north of Owen Beach in Puget Sound. It’s second in the Puget Sound series.

It’s not the particular patterns of the wash on the sand, or the vegetation that interest me here. It’s my thoughts about how powerful the current can be, and how a small a boat can become under it’s influence. If the grade of the sand drops quickly, you could be swept quickly off your feet if you don’t first succumb to the cold.

So much better that we sun on the sand, hop in a boat, enjoy the serenity of the Point Defiance forest, bustling Zoo, Gardens or Aquarium just south of Tacoma. How lucky we are.

The deep 1-1/2" museum mount edges of Flow are painted as 3D extensions of the main image. Your piece arrives prewired, ready to hang.
