It must have been a particularly dark stormy day when I painted this one. I really enjoyed getting the atmosphere of the storm and feelings into this painting. The weather is never predictable and always out of our control. It's fascinating how it changes the landscape. I used oils in layers to create atmosphere, putting the paint on with rags. Then worked on top with palette knives and other tools to create texture.
