Sayings are fascinating and they often form great images in my head, so I decided to start a series of small sculptures depicting them! This is a ceramic cup and saucer with a miniature scene inside of a wave overturning a boat in a storm! The man sitting reading on the side signifies the idea that it is no big deal.......just a 'storm in a teacup'!
The sea was built from plaster, polystyrene, medium gel texture and painted with acrylics in layers. The added scale figures were hand painted.
It easily stands on a shelf as it is.
It is signed underneath.
