Rain in the Desert Southwest comes with a wild wind and a sudden downpour that forms rivulets among the rocks and sand. With wings as black as the clouds, a crow sits atop an aged tree that is bleached by the an unrelenting sun on most days.

This acrylic painting depicts the colors of the desert, shining with the remnants of a monsoon rain as a back drop to one of the birds common to the region. It is finished with a gloss varnish to protect it from dust.
