Original artwork description:

This small painting has been inspired by my love of stormy, cloudy skies, and the quality of the light around the coastline of Scotland. The growing light on the horizon and reflected on the sand also offers the idea of hope in troubled times.
It's painted on canvas stretched over a wooden frame, using artist quality acrylics, mainly shades of raw and burnt umber, sienna, blue- violet, white, and Mars black, and has been completed with one layer of varnish for protection. Where the paint has overlapped the edges of the canvas it has left a slightly 'deckled' effect, which adds to the organic and natural feel of the painting. The sides have been left unsanded, and have been painted white. The painting is unframed.
It's initialled in the lower right hand corner and labelled/signed in full on the back; there are picture hooks and string on the reverse so it is ready to hang.
It will be carefully wrapped and sent tracked and insured with a reputable carrier.
Thank you very much for your interest in this painting; I would be delighted to answer any questions about it, so please get in touch if there is anything you would like to ask.
