Original artwork description:

Painted on location, "Storm Brewing" was a risky endeavor but I decided to give it a try. The sky was so dramatic as the clouds raced by, getting darker and darker. I was painting as fast as possible to try to capture the menacing weather, but finally decided I was probably pushing my luck. I packed up my gear and headed back to my car a short distance away. By the time I got back to my studio, just a 5 minute drive away, the bottom fell out and torrents of rain were so heavy the road began flooding. I haven't cut it that close since, but was thrilled to have had the experience of painting a storm as it began to unfold.
