Original artwork description:

A continuation of artworks inspired by Lyon. 'Stop playing with it..' is a giant stamp inspired by the sculpture 'Non-Violence' by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. I first discovered this iteration of the sculpture outside of Lyon's museum dedicated to the Resistance and deportation.

I wanted to reaffirm the non-violent sentiment behind the revolver, which is why I chose to infantilise the use of guns through the paintings title.

The revolver itself is painted thin layers of acrylic paint whilst the acid green of the stamp is oil paint, giving a delightful mix of texture and colour.

Ready to hang! Painted depth allows you to affix mirror plates and hand the painting quickly.

Materials used:

Acrylic, oils and pencil on board
