This painting begins with a somewhat forgotten technique, encaustic, in which pigments are mixed with wax that acts as a binder. With it, it is possible to achieve the poise and textures that you see here while preserving the vividness of the colours. The result resembles a street wall, which is the first intention of this work to which the elements that make up the story are later added. Stairs that lead to a door where anything can happen, sensing a vintage home from the wallpaper that can be seen. The young pin-up girl playing Snow White asking her mirror invites us to take the drama out of it and take advantage of the good times. A painting full of details and nuances that are discovered when you get closer and take time to enjoy, read and interpret it.
