When we look at a landscape with the sea, we always lack some kind of main character, some element in the foreground. For some masters, this hero is a big wave. Sometimes these heroes are people standing on the shore, looking into the distance or splashing in the waves. Of course, most often it is a boat or a ship. But in this big picture of mine, I saw other main characters. These are silent and various stones, beautifully lying on the seashore. First, I painted a small sketch from nature during one of my travels. But the thought of a big work, where stones are the main characters, did not leave me, and upon arrival I took a huge canvas to throw out my inspiration and this idea on it.
