This painting is from the project «One day in the mountains: on the steps of Claude Monet».
"Daylight. In that time of a day we can see bright light and deep shadows on the rocks. Clean sky gives strong reflections to the shadows, and it works very well with warm light near cool snow. I started with this one in 11-12 AM, but noticed, that colors on the mountains are very close to the morning painting, and I decide to rework it in 2-4 PM. This thing was done in three sessions."
