Stolen Time 119 is a painting from Richard Heys's 2020-2023 series of work - Stolen Time. Stolen Time has a double meaning - extra time stolen for oneself and stolen time in the sense of lost opportunities.
Richard makes his work using squeegees, silicone tools, brushes and other print-making tools. In this piece he has scraped back the paint using to reveal flashes of colour from the underlying layers within the piece.
Originally from Yorkshire, Richard's studio is in East Sussex, an acorn's throw from the Ashdown Forest. He is an abstract artist who creates paintings with presence. This is an original, one of a kind acrylic painting. It is framed in white and is ready hang.
