Original artwork description:

A coastal landscape using high quality oil paints on hand-stretched cotton canvas depicting the calm hush of a quiet beach in the soft morning sea mist.

The colours in the light that reflects from the shimmering sand and water are a lifelong preoccupation of mine. I try to capture the feelings of serenity and calmness that such scenes hold through thin glazes and thicker passages of impasto paint.

The painting continues around the sides of the canvas and it comes with appropriate fixings ready to hang straight onto your wall. The sides of this painting have a particularly pleasing and unusual curve to them which looks rather striking hung unframed or in a floater frame.

A coat of varnish has been applied to protect the painted surface from dust and UV light. The work is signed on the front and a catalogued certificate of authenticity is attached to the back. The artwork will be carefully packaged and sent fully insured via a tracked courier.
