I always enjoy working with an oval canvas. It helps to arrange objects harmoniously and attaches a special completeness to the painting. The absence of the corners makes the composition particularly smooth and decorative. This time I followed the classic technique, all the objects are depicted quite realistically and detailed, including the background and draperies. The gold drapery at the top, was painted with a glittery gold pigment, which is also used for the small golden leaf at the bottom. However the lemons itself remain on the first role, as a color and composition dominant.
