Still life with tea and fruit

A still life partially inspired by Picasso's Still life with pitcher and apples. I was looking to explore ways to bring a freshness to the still life composition beyond the traditional and spent quite a while experimenting with different arrangements before settling on this one. Prior to painting I created several areas of light texture. Depending on the light of the room and positioning of the painting these textures may or may not be visible, adding an feel of an aging wall. Up close you will also see the brushwork. sometimes a subtle blend sometimes a little on the impasto side. I love this In my home, if it ends up in yours it's sure to start a conversation.

The shipping tables are a guide so where possible messaging me if interested helps provide a clearer estimate. In some cases the price of the artwork may be lower than the shipping, this is done by me to keep the overall price as reasonable as possible.

Shipping charges cover my costs of properly packaging the artwork, materials used, tracking, insurance is all covered. In the event that freight charges are less than paid, i will arrange a reimbursement, all duty fees or addition taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Old holland Oil Paint on sealed/gesso'd mdf board with wooden backing support frame, varnished with UV protection.
