Still life with pumpkins.

The beautiful shape of the brass vase attracted me in a local antiquities store and joined my collection of antique objects. It immediately gave me an idea for a small composition that resulted in this painting. The vivid colors of the pumpkins also stood out and create a harmony of luscious reds, browns, and yellows. An autumn composition, if you will.

The frame, made of stained wood with a thin gold lining, complements the rustic feel of the painting.

***NOTE: This painting was on show in an Autumn Salon, Galeria Cirus, November until end-December 2016.
