Original artwork description:

The inspiration for this still life came from a maneki-neko figurine that my husband found in a little souvenir shop. It was a gray autumn day, with nothing particularly promising about it. But the figurine caught my eye—the golden body of the cat and its cheerfully waving paw gave off a feeling of hope for brighter times.

It was only later that I learned maneki-nekos are believed to bring good luck. This discovery made the figurine even more meaningful, and I felt compelled to capture its charm and the optimism it brought me through my work.
