In this still life I wanted to show the beauty of simple things, portraying them not as static forms but as possessing a quiet, vibrant life. The things in the paintings are not smooth, you can feel every brushstroke. Shadows deepen the composition, and shifts in color reveal themselves gradually, adding layers of nuance. Restricted, predominantly dark palette with subtle accents creates sense of intimacy and quietude. You will not see the things like this in everyday life. The overall effect is a scene imbued with a sense of magic, not through fantastical elements, but through the heightened awareness of silence and the interplay of light, color, and texture.
