Still lifes with metal utensils and fruit are one of my favourite subjects.
Depicting the different textures of the material is attractive, showing the details of fruit or flowers in metal creates individuality of the work.
In this case, the combination of blue-purple fruit and bright yellow metal creates a warm contrast and makes the work colourful.
The still life is executed on linen canvas.
As usual, the canvas is additionally primed and I create a double coloured underpainting, which eliminates the loss of light and the inner shade of the fruit.
Materials used:
Maimeri oil paints and auxiliary material Schmincke oil colours Brushes, mastichins.
