Original artwork description:

This still life was inspired by a decorative blue Stag Christmas ornament. The colour went with the bright oranges of the Chinese Lantern Flowers and the pink of the Melon. Also the patterned table cloth added to the colourful still life. Having a black background also brought out the reds and green stripes colours to life. I added the rd peppers and the oranges. I take a long time in setting up a still life and a lot of thought goes into it. I have a graphic background as well as fine art and the design plays a big part in my artwork. This artwork is in pastels as they are pure pigment and their colours are suited to this artwork. This painting is framed and ready to hang.
