Original artwork description:

This still life, full of hot yellow hues with Italian lemon and figs was painted last summer, in the midst of a sultry August. Made with mixed media, watercolors and acrylics, I used thick smash strokes like oil painting technique, and somewhere transparent watercolor strokes. I focused on the atmosphere of a hot afternoon, the interplay of contrasting tones of bright light and deep cold shadow.
