Original artwork description:

The Baroque movement is influential with particular reference to the way light is used in painting. Having previously focused on the use of colour and the illumination of the objects in the still life as well as how the colours reflect and react next to one another within the composition. By employing an imprimatura technique to form the base of each painting, I draw out the composition and remove the paint with turpentine and a rag in a gradual process.
