Over a metre square, Still and Poised is a striking canvas with the grace and magnitude of the poised angel with wings creating a canopy, throwing her face into the shadows. Created with texture paste, acylic and oil, though she is poised and graceful, there is still the feeling of movement with her translucent wings loosely applied over texture.. Paul has been fascinated by angelic figures recently, usually depicted in an abstract manner
