Artwork description:

Collagraph limited edition print, printed on 370gsm watercolour paper. This is a working steam engine at Elsecar Heritage Centre near Barnsley South Yorkshire. This is from a limited edition of 6. A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. My printing plate is made from mounting board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief. I Collaged my plate with different textures in this instance scrunched up paper wallpaper, tile adhesive and aluminium insolation tape. I also cut into the plate with a scalpel. I used PVA glue to stick on my textures. Pva is then sealed with shellac. The plate is then coloured with stay open inks and printed. I will pack this print flat between layers of cardboard (see me at work pic) This print is sold unframed.
