Original artwork description:

Jostling horses, bunching together at a New Years Day meet. It won't be long before the leaders encourage their mounts to push forward and head towards the last. Silks bright and blowing in the wind created by the speed of racing.

I used water-soluble oils. This is created with palette knife rather than brushes. Impressionistic - so stand at a distance to see the horses coming your way.

On a deep linen gessoed canvas which is 60 x 60 x 2.5 cm. Signed on the front bottom right in paint by the artist. The canvas stretchers are professional quality hardwood. The image carries round the edge about 0.25 cm and the rest of the edge is white chalk paint. Fitted with D-rings and a hanging cord. Ready to hang.
