ork was created as a part of PhD project that explores the possibilities of graphic visualization of time and volatility through the analysis of the primary layers of artistic visual form and the process of shaping the graphic image. Time as a relative and abstract term can be interpreted in many ways compared to reality. Determinating the possibilities of its definition, shaping and forms of presentation can be achieved by manipulating with our own imagination, semantic meanings of particular iconographic motif and possibilities of the observers visual perception.
Poetic idea has been formalized in accordance with the principles of perception of the relationship between the whole and its parts. In my work time is metaphorically presented by harmonizing the semantic content of the both iconographic and formal aspects of artwork.
Production process of prints has a conceptual importance in my doctoral art project. As an essential part of the aestethic structure it exceeds the hermetic selfe-dependence between the content and the artistic form, and includes characteristics of the material and artistic process in the set of symbolic factors of the idea itself.
A fragment of the seascape represents the starting motif that has been reduced to a simple geometrical patern through the process of rationalization and formal purification. Thus resulting printmaking sheets can be viewed as a modular units which accent is on conjunction between pure painted surfaces and linear graphical tracks. Fragmentary form of artistic setting and the possibility of gradual reading of its parts, opens the space for multiple interpretations of visual structure and insight into the integrity of the image. The individual artworks can be viewed as a separate visual sequences or as a integral parts of a whole with an open structure.
