Original artwork description:

I've long been inspired by the work of Van Gogh and have visited his studios in Auvers sur Oise and the asylum where he stayed for a year in St Remy. My work resonates with his work - always has. Color and passion has defined Van Gogh's work and mine as well. So I took his Starry Night and went beyond that to create an apocalyptic scene from my imagination. To me it was all about the mystical quality that paint can bring to a canvas.
