Original artwork description:
Painted on-site in the artist's yard in Minneapolis. Features two Lily flowers of the "Stargazer" variety. The petals are dark pink and magenta with white, ruffled edges, and strewn with darker spots. Painted in oil on board with both brush and palette knife. The dripping and splattering in the background were created with water-base casein paint and glazed over with oil. The background colors include midnight blue, blue, green, and purple. The shapes of the flower petals are enhanced by the application of thickly textured paint. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
