This “Star of Bethlehem” sculpture has been a joy to create, since it speaks of an aspect of the birth of Jesus, which is dear to the hearts of countless persons throughout the world. It is an open-work orb, standing 8” tall, with a 26” circumference, composed of stars of various sizes. Seven Scripture passages from the gospels of Matthew and Luke, along with a verse from Isaiah and Micah were printed on gold-painted paper and collaged onto the stars, along with appropriately themed Christmas cards that I have collected over time. Other parts of the orb were painted, with some gold foil accents, and the entire sculpture was coated in epoxy resin. My maker’s mark appears on the back, and the star-themed, stainless steel pedestal upon which it is photographed is included. This sculpture will make a lovely gift for home or office. It is for indoor use only; protect from UV.
