Original artwork description:

One of a series of paintings dealing with the theme of the Battle of Stalingrad. The various elements: shape, colour, texture and the laminated computer image refer to the theme in different ways. Here something of the rhythm and repetition of the troops is echoed in the 'blizzard' surrounding it. First exhibited at the Brahm Gallery, Leeds, UK, in 1996.

Materials used:

Oil paint and laminated computer print on linen canvas
