Gouache on 5"x7" paper, sealed with varnish, mounted on a backing board under an 8"x10" Decorative Double Mat in Ivory with the gold insert.
Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium.
The painting is unframed. It will easily fit in a standard (USA) 8"x10" frame.
