Original artwork description:

This is an outdoor painting created in Staffin on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Staffin is a village on the Isle of Skye with a spectacular location between towering cliffs and a beautiful bay. I like to come here for walking, picnics and painting when I am visiting my sister who lives on the island. The walk in the cliffs known as the Quiraing is very popular and we often go there to enjoy the views looking down. The pebbly beach reveals dark coloured sand when the tide recedes and we have even paddled there on one of the rare days on Skye that are warm enough for that!
So Staffin Bay is a special place for me, linked with memories of family holidays. This painting was painted on site as a plein air painting and the details in the foreground such as the seagull swooping down near the rocks were finished off later at home.

This unique artwork is sold mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
