Original artwork description:

I have made another small series of Cairns / balancing stones monoprints, each is created using individually inked linocut blocks. Each stone is inked up using more a painterly style using tone and colour combinations to replicate the textures of stones in nature, before being placed down individually to print as part of the stack. The printing process mimicking in a way the nature of balancing the stones in real life. Each print is quite distinct from the others in the series, making them monoprints as they are each unique variations of the same subject.

My linocuts are handmade from start to finish, hand carved, rolled and handprinted, as in the nature of linoprints and the handmade process they may have small variations. This I feel is part of the charm of printmaking and makes each print into a unique artwork.

Printed onto acid free heavy paper - 300 gsm, Caligo oil based safe ink
Paper size - 21 cm x 59.5 cm
