Original artwork description:

Cities are important to me. I spent my childhood in Pécs, I went to university in Moscow, I settled in Budapest, my daughter lives in Glasgow… Cities are not about to slow life movement and buildings there are huge on a human scale. This is what makes it possible to create spaces for us and we occupy them as a habitat but often without knowing them.

The painting shows St. Stephen's Basilica in downtown Budapest. Budapest - the capital of Hungary - is a city with eclectic architecture, in it, everyone can find what they love.

In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere. This is recycled art.
The painting is made with self-made paint, which consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints.
The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only a few artists around the world work with wax on its own.

The encaustic is equipped with a simple wooden exhibition frame, which harmonizes with the industrial style of the painting and highlights it well. Ready to hang!

This work will be delivered with Care Instructions for my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
