A study of the dome of St Paul's Cathedral in London.
I have started to paint more architectural pieces and so began looking at buildings in London. I painted this from photographs that I took whilst wandering around the city. The colour inspiration came from a different set of pictures that I took whilst in the Tate Modern looking back across the Thames to St Paul's on a Winter afternoon.
I used acrylic paint on canvas and finished with a gloss varnish. The painting is signed on the back. The edges of the canvas are painted black and two d-rings are attached with screws to the wooden frame of the canvas on the back of the painting, a length of cord is included too so that it is ready to hang.
The painting will be well wrapped and packaged in a cardboard box and shipped with a tracking number.
